Production Process

At Sherman & Gosweiler, each piece is hand crafted by an experienced cabinetmaker using time honored traditional construction methods that put quality first.

Sherman and Gosweiler - productionOur highly skilled craftsmen start each project with a full scale layout and are responsible for each piece they build, right up until it enters the finishing room.  After finishing, the same cabinetmaker helps to install it.  Our craftsmen take great pride in their work and it shows!

All of our cabinets are assembled with tongue and groove joinery, (glued and clamped, not nailed), for uncompromising quality. We use only the finest materials available including premium grade veneers and hardwoods. Solid maple drawers assembled with dove tail joints mounted on heavy duty ball bearing slides provide a lifetime of service. Details like center matching the grain pattern on doors and cabinet sides takes a little more time, but we believe it’s worth the extra effort so the natural beauty of the wood can be maximized.
